Summary U.S. Postal Inspectors are federal law enforcement officers with jurisdiction in all criminal matters involving the security and integrity of the U.S. Postal Service and violations of postal-related laws. Postal Inspectors carry firearms, make arrests, execute federal search warrants, and serve subpoenas. Inspectors work with U.S. Attorneys, other law enforcement, and local prosecutors to investigate cases and prepare them for court. Responsibilities The Postal Inspector Program Manager position oversees and coordinates the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of national programs, which support the investigation and disposition of criminal, civil and administrative cases.
