Polymerization Technician

Overview

As a Polymerization Technician , you will be responsible for operating batch reactors, as well as monitoring and recording process variables during the synthesis of emulsions and solvent-based resins used in the manufacturing of architectural and decorative paints, glues, adhesives, and industrial coatings. You will ensure compliance with PPG's established safety, quality, productivity, and environmental standards through the application of continuous improvement and process control. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Safely process batches of resins and emulsions.
• Validate all safety conditions at the beginning, during, and at the end of each work shift.
• Effectively execute the production schedule and record any deviations.
• Accurately and timely record material reservations, allocations, and consumption for each executed production order in Oracle 12.
