Role Overview

Job Title: PMLD Teacher (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) – Retford

Employer: Academics Ltd, temp role, term time only

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver holistic, sensory‑rich learning for pupils with complex medical, physical, and cognitive needs.
• Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and families.
• Create a safe, predictable, yet stimulating environment where each child can thrive on their own terms.

Qualifications

• UK QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification).
• Proven experience teaching pupils with PMLD (essential).
• A working understanding of EHCPs, moving and handling, and communication aids (e.g., eye gaze, switches, AAC).
