PLC Engineer: Cement Mine (Lichtenburg)

⚙️ Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Schneider) Maintain and upgrade PLC, SCADA, and automation systems Develop and test logic diagrams, HMI screens, and control strategies Provide technical support during commissioning, shutdowns, and process changes Troubleshoot control system failures and instrumentation issues Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and engineering standards 🎓 Requirements: Bachelors degree in: Electrical Engineering Instrumentation / Control Mechatronics (or similar) 37 years experience in PLC programming & industrial automation Strong knowledge of: PLC / DCS / SCADA systems Industrial communication networks Experience with commissioning and troubleshooting large-scale systems Cement or heavy industry experience is advantageous
