DEPARTMENT: Mineral Processing-Concentrator

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To monitor and control the safe, effective, and efficient operation of a designated section in the metallurgical plant.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 Equivalent certificate is essential.
• Completed all modules and required Process Unit Standards.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Plant Operator.
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Valid Medical Certificate is essential or be medically fit to obtain such a certificate.

COMPETENCIES

• Demonstrate knowledge of the Plant Processes (Concentrator).
• Demonstrate knowledge pertaining to basic health and safety principles in the workplace.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of monitoring and instrumentation and the ability to take measurements from installed instrumentation.
