Job Description

A Material Planner/Scheduler is responsible for ensuring that raw material parts required to manufacture products are available, thereby preventing production line stoppages. Using all supply‑chain tools and options, the planner supports the programming of a production plan that meets customer requirements on time and in the right quantities, while achieving MP&L Objectives and KPIs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Send supplier releases.
• Monitor supplier’s shipments.
• Avoid production line shutdowns.
• Ensure raw material availability to meet the production schedule.
• Avoid excess inventory or obsolete components.
• Expedite raw material when needed.
• Make claims for material damaged or lost in transit.
• Coordinate with the Launch Department for new vendors and create spot buys.
• Process extensions of materials in SAP.
