Job Description

The EKG/ECG Technician operates electrocardiograph equipment to record the electromotive variations in heart muscle actions; assists in the coding, filing, and distribution of EKG data. Performs as a member of the cardiovascular team, obtaining ECG records of events; assists in emergency situations by initiating and/or assisting in emergency procedures prescribed by facility policies.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ One (1) year of experience as an EKG Technician preferred
+ Appropriate Licensure or Certification; if required by state regulations or contract specifications
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age Compliance & Ethics Expectations
