+ Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
+ Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
+ Decontaminate and update patient information regularly.
+ Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection procedures.
+ Demonstrate techniques using straight and butterfly needles.
+ Ensure all physician orders are fully understood and followed.
+ Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes correctly.
+ Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
