Phlebotomist - Lab Procurement Dist Admin - Per Diem

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Phlebotomist - Lab Procurement Dist Admin - Per Diem - Clinical Labs-Procure,Dist,Adm - Per Diem - V.

In this role, the successful candidate Under supervision performs routine phlebotomy and laboratory central receiving duties. Prepares specimens for send-outs to Reference Laboratories and results reports into the laboratory computer system.

Job Responsibilities:

Phlebotomy/Capillary Collection

Properly greets patient.

Properly identifies patient.

Prepares patient in an appropriate position.

Assembles appropriate material. (Tubes, gloves, etc.)

Selects appropriate tubes for tests ordered

Follows IC procedures (Gloves, Hand washing)

Follows order of draw in multiple specimen collection.

Performs proper site sterilization techniques (preparation)

Properly labels and documents tubes and label sets.
