This role combines hands-on phlebotomy with specimen handling, data entry, and customer service, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant laboratory operations. The Phlebotomist II also supports workflow by troubleshooting issues, assisting with training, and recommending process improvements.
Responsibilities
+ Perform venipuncture and blood draws using straight needles and butterfly needles in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
+ Collect and store blood, urine, fecal, and other specimens according to established procedures and protocols.
+ Clearly and courteously explain venipuncture, blood draw, and other specimen collection procedures to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
