This position involves floating between multiple locations to ensure efficient operation and patient care.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct blood draws and label specimens accurately.
+ Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
+ Decontaminate and update patient information.
+ Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
+ Explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process clearly and courteously.
+ Demonstrate techniques using straight and butterfly needles.
+ Understand and adhere to physicians' orders.
+ Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
