Job Description

Ministry of the Solicitor General, Central North Correctional Centre, seeks a Registered Pharmacy Technician to provide pharmaceutical services in a maximum‑security correctional facility in Penetanguishene.

Location: Penetanguishene, Ontario.

Hours: 36.25 hours per week. The CNCC health care unit operates seven days per week, and you may be required to work outside of normal business hours.

About the job

  • Receive, process and fill prescriptions.
  • Review drug alerts, prepare bulk solutions, pre-package and label medications/prescriptions.
  • Monitor the quantity of supplies and expiry dates.
  • Maintain records and statistics (inventory levels, month‑end reports, usage and drug distribution).
  • Update patient medication profiles using a computerized drug distribution system.
