Job Overview

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for dispensing and compounding drugs, as delegated by a Pharmacist, and for the distribution component of Pharmacy Services, in keeping with the standards of Hospital Pharmacy practice.

Program Incentive

North Bay Regional Health Centre is offering $5,000 in exchange for a two-year commitment to the Health Centre as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician. Funds are received in increments throughout the two-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Pharmacy Technician course or equivalent (required)
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (Ontario College of Pharmacists)
• Experience in a hospital pharmacy; experience with hospital pharmacy automated technologies is an asset
• Knowledge of Meditech (asset)
