Pharmacy Support Worker (Bank)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Support Worker to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Wealstun on a bank basis. HMP Wealstun is a Category C men's prison with an operational capacity of around 1,000. The prison has good transport links and a free onsite car park.

We offer extensive training and development opportunities, with no previous experience required.

Main duties of the job

• Support the onsite Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Manager, and the wider healthcare team
• Second check medication before dispensing to patients during medication rounds
• Contribute to medicine reconciliation, stock management, and transportation of medicines
• Ensure health and safety of medicines management, following policies, procedures and standard operating procedures
• Operate medication hatches on the wings
• Act as a key member of a multi‑disciplinary team of healthcare professionals
