Job Description

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing new and refill prescriptions 

  • Data entry of prescriptions, including dosage calculations

  • Packaging prescriptions including product selection, counting/measuring, and labeling

  • Preparation of blister packs and compounds

  • Adjudication and sale of prescription and non-prescription products using the pharmacy software and point of sale (POS) systems

  • Providing customer service to patients in person and over the telephone

  • Ordering and receiving pharmacy inventory and supplies

  • Over-the-counter department maintenance including facing, stocking, cleaning, pricing, checking expiries, etc.
