Pharmacist

Overview

Performs as a Pharmacist with full professional authority, knowledge and judgment, operating as a generalist with advanced level of responsibility and experience in all aspects of the total Pharmacy operation.

Responsibilities

• Managerial

  • Maintaining sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for performance of duties

  • Reporting shortage of materials to supervisor at earliest convenience, maintaining records for ordering and replenishments

• Technical

  • Reviews and interprets each prescription/medication order in the ward and outpatient settings

  • Provides appropriate patient information concerning the medications when required

  • Advise/questions/clarified any prescription abnormality with the prescribing physician. Any unresolved problems are referred to chief pharmacist
