Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker

Outline of role

As my Personal Assistant your role is to provide me with the help that I need. This means that it is my responsibility to tell you exactly what I need, when I need your help and how I want you to help me. It is your responsibility to ask what I need, to listen and respond to any reasonable instructions that I give you.

I am a 36‑year‑old male who has, from birth, been diagnosed with severe quad spastic Cerebral Palsy. I exhibit autistic behaviours but have no formal diagnosis. Therefore, I need support on a 24/7 basis with all aspects of daily living. I live at home with my dad who is now my sole carer since October 2023 when my mum passed away who had been my primary carer. I like to watch all types of DVD’s and explore the personal lives of actors and actresses. I also like to go out to places of interest and have lunch out often meeting friends and family.
