Role & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain RPG/RPGLE programs and CL jobs on IBM iSeries (AS/400) for transactional and batch systems.

• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement stable fixes to minimize downtime.

• Optimize SQL400 and DB2 for i queries, file layouts, and program logic to improve throughput and reduce processing windows.

• Implement interfaces and integrations (service programs, stored procedures, APIs) for downstream systems and middleware.

• Participate in code reviews, release activities, and change-control processes; produce clear technical documentation.

• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and operations; mentor junior developers to raise team capability.
