Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage end-to-end payroll, contractor payments, and perks administration across the U.S. and Canada
  • Design and implement structured onboarding and offboarding processes (offer letters, compliance documentation, I-9s, etc.)
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Support recruiting operations by managing the ATS (Ashby), coordinating interview pipelines, and partnering with external recruiters
  • Build, document, and enforce HR policies, processes, and SOPs to support scaling from ~40 employees

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or Talent Operations, ideally within a startup or high-growth environment
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. and Canadian employment laws, payroll, and compliance requirements
