Job Description

Summary

The Painter is responsible for performing interior and exterior painting and finishing work in residential housing units. The role supports ongoing preventative maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment of housing to ensure safe, functional, and aesthetically maintained living environments.

The Painter works independently or as part of a maintenance team and follows established safety, quality, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Surface Preparation

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching, filling holes and cracks, and removing old paint or wallpaper.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces including drywall, wood, concrete, plaster, and metal.
  • Apply primers and sealers as required.
