About the Opportunity
  • Consistently interpret and apply regulations, employment laws, and other requirements that guide the processing of payroll to ensure compliance with Provincial regulations for both union and non-union payroll accounts.
  • Maintain employee records for existing employees and new hires;
    ensure accurate vacation, sick bank, and banked hours accruals.
  • Assist with the current implementation of payroll system.
  • Collaborate with other teams, team members, and managers to resolve escalated payroll issues.
  • Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions, wage increases, and terminations is accurate and timely.
  • Participate in the payroll year-end processes including: T4s, T4As, year-end filings
  • Create payroll audit reports to verify accuracy of data.
