Key Responsibilities

  • Administer end-to-end payroll processing for hourly contract and salaried employees across various provinces in Canada (experience with US payroll is an asset).
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, status changes, salary adjustments, and other employee data.
  • Process and reconcile all earnings, deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
  • Support unionized payroll, including preparation of union remittances and required reporting.
  • Assist with payroll accounting entries, reconciliations, and month-end processes in coordination with the finance team.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, timekeeping, benefits, and deductions with professionalism and confidentiality.
