Job Summary

The Senior Payroll Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance with organizational policies. The role works closely with payroll operations, finance, treasury, system teams, and country offices to ensure payroll data integrity and correct general ledger postings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate monthly payroll account closures and ensure timely posting of payroll accounting files.
  • Support country offices with reconciliation of payroll-related general ledger accounts.
  • Act as focal point for payroll accounting queries in coordination with payroll operational teams.
  • Ensure correct mapping of payroll elements to the general ledger in coordination with Finance.
  • Monitor and clear payroll suspense accounts (salary holds, advances, etc.).
