Position Overview
The main function of the position is to maximize the paste plant's mechanical availability by performing and scheduling planned maintenance as well as repairing/troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns. This position will also be responsible for plant process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Minimize unplanned breakdowns
Plan and prepare for plant repairs
Implement plant improvements
Manage contractors in order to complete specialty maintenance work using the contractor management system (Cognibox)
Comply with all site policies, practices and procedures at all time to ensure that assigned work can be completed without incident; immediately report to supervisor all injuries, incidents and near-misses for follow-up.
Create follow-up work orders for all work that has arisen through the course of normal work; assign the appropriate priority based on the criticality of the work.
