Support local sports by becoming a part-time referee for the City of Vernon. Monitor games, enforce rules, and promote a positive environment for all participants.
The City of Vernon is hiring referees for various ongoing sports programs. Ideal applicants will have experience in sports and exhibit strong communication skills. The focus is on maintaining participant engagement, safety during play, and following established rules within Recreation Services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Referee and score keep during sport activities
• Enforce guidelines to ensure safe play
• Prepare equipment and manage inspection procedures
• Track attendance and participant engagement
• Provide assistance during emergency situations
Requirements:
• Adequate Police Information Check required
• Completion of at least Grade 9
• Previous sports participation experience
