Part-Time Recreation Aide Role

Become a vital part of resident support as a Part-Time Recreation Aide. This position involves programming for residents in a long-term care setting, requiring strong communication skills and relevant education.
We are looking for a dedicated Recreation Aide with a Certificate or Diploma in Recreation. Ideally, you have 1-2 years of experience in long-term care and are proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. You will play a critical role in planning and executing therapeutic and diversionary activities while assisting staff to ensure residents engage meaningfully.
Key Responsibilities:
• Understand therapeutic and diversion programs' concepts and benefits
• Maintain programming for individual residents or groups
• Communicate changes in functional status effectively
• Assist in planning engaging activities and suggest improvements
• Facilitate resident and family interactions at events
