On-site hours
Tuesdays afternoons, 13:30–16:30
Additional availability
Telephonic consultation with the clinical team during other weekdays, when needed.
The role includes
Psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients.
Medication prescribing, monitoring, and review.
Input into individualized treatment planning.
Participation in multidisciplinary team discussions.
Guidance to therapists, psychologists, counsellors, and nursing staff.
Support in managing complex or high-risk clinical presentations.
Proper clinical documentation in line with professional and legal requirements.
Minimum requirements
MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
MMed Psychiatry or FC Psych (SA).
Current HPCSA registration as an Independent Practice Specialist Psychiatrist.
Valid medical indemnity cover.
