Part-Time Literacy Tutor (Hiring Immediately)

Literacy Tutor

This is a renewable position contingent upon grant funding. Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Sponsored Programs and with the sponsorship of the NM Coalition for Literacy Grant. Part-time literacy tutors will work one-on-one with individuals seeking to improve their reading, writing, and/or digital literacy skills. Tutors will be trained to assess student needs, assist students in setting personal and educational goals, provide literacy instruction, and monitor student progress.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring services to adults working to improve their reading, writing, and digital literacy.
• Assess individuals' literacy skills and needs utilizing formal and informal evaluation tools and techniques.
