Engage children in fun and educational activities as a Part-Time Activity Program Leader at the Dilworth Mountain YMCA in Kelowna, BC. Lead play-based programs and ensure safety from Monday to Friday.
Become part of the dynamic Child Care Team at the YMCA, supporting children ages 5-12 in an on-site setting. This role involves program planning that aligns with the YMCA’s values and effectively interacts with children and families. Flexible shift options and opportunities for extended hours during school breaks are available.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead engaging and safe program planning daily
• Supervise children in adherence to provincial standards
• Build relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Interact as a play partner and homework helper
• Implement play-based educational programming
Requirements:
• Must be 19 years of age
• 20 hours in professional development related to child care
• Experience working with children
