Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

This Part-Time Academic will be fully responsible for the teaching and grading of THEA Acting 3a, from September 1 to December 31, 2026 (Fall Term).

This course aims to strengthen the actor’s instrument and creative response, while further developing acting technique with methods that draw from a variety of historical contexts, classical through contemporary texts, seeking to inform style, form, and characterization. This course is a requirement for students enrolled in the Honours BA in Theatre (Acting Program), and this academic/practitioner will instruct students in a range of embodied approaches to acting, character development, and theatre creation.


Experience in any of the following training methods will be seen as an asset: Lecoq, clown, mask work, viewpoints, devised theatre. The instructor will be required to provide a method of assessment, prepare and grade all written and performance work, and to calcu...
