Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

This Part-Time Academic will be fully responsible for teaching and grading one section of THEA Stage Design 2b, from January 1 to April 30, 2027 (Winter Term 2027), as follows:


  • Develop 12 weeks of course content related to scenic design for live performance to be delivered in person through lectures, readings, discussions, presentations, and other assessments.

  • Build the online course space in Brightspace.

  • Grade assessments (student presentations, design assignments, essays/written work, participation/ discussions) and provide timely feedback to students.
  • The instructor will work closely with faculty and teaching staff in the Stage Design and Technical Theatre program to coordinate curriculum requirements. The instructor is required to provide a Method of Assessment. This position reports to the Director of the Fountain School of Performing Arts.
