Job Description
Duties include full responsibility for delivery and administration of teaching duties (lecture prep and delivery according to course syllabus; exam prep, delivery, and marking; TA supervision, etc.) for PHYC 2515 – Modern Physics (Fall 2026).
This course introduces two physics revolutions: Einstein’s theory of special relativity and the theory of quantum mechanics. Important early experiments are considered throughout the course. Topics include length contraction, time dilation, and relativistic kinematics, and complex wave functions.
Lectures: Tuesdays and Thursdays: 8:30am to 10:00am
Reasonable office hours should be available to students.
Position reports to the Chair of the Department of Physics & Atmospheric Science.
