Palliative Care Physician

Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), Integrated Northern Area invites applications for the position of palliative care physician to provide physician support (o.2 FTE) for palliative care services in the North West Area of the province (Lloydminster).


The physician will provide palliative care services for days contracted, including some weekends and statutory holidays. The physician will provide a support to palliative care clients and families to assist in meeting identified palliative needs. This may include assessment, management, and ongoing support to patients on the palliative care service. Support may include consults in hospital, continuing care, home visits, and to act as a resource for other members of the care team.
