**Now Hiring for Painters in Bridgeton, NJ**
The Tank Painter prepares and paints ISO tanks, storage tanks, and rail cars on and off the tracks to protect them from corrosion and ensure they meet industry standards. This role includes thorough surface preparation, application of primers and paints, basic maintenance of painting equipment, and strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations while keeping work areas clean and orderly.
**Shift/Pay:**
+ Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
+ $17/hr
**Responsibilities:**
+ Prepare surfaces by scraping, grinding, and wire brushing to remove rust, dirt, old paint, and stickers
+ Mask and protect areas not being painted (e.g., data plates and fixtures)
+ Inspect surfaces for defects; report divots, holes, or damage to supervision
+ Apply primers and paints using brushes and rollers, ensuring even coverage and proper thickness
