This position involves supporting the safe packaging and shipment of high-value machinery and equipment. The role requires building custom crates, skids, platforms, and packaging solutions to ensure products are protected during both domestic and international shipping.
**Responsibilities**
+ Build custom crates, skids, frames, boxes, or platforms.
+ Measure and cut wood accurately for packaging solutions.
+ Understand bracing, blocking, and support to protect products.
+ Follow safety protocols, including PPE requirements and safe lifting procedures.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Collaborate with shipping, receiving, production, and engineering departments.
+ Communicate clearly and ask questions when unsure.
+ Plan crate dimensions and determine appropriate bracing and protective packaging.
