Package Handler Trainer PT

Trains other Package Handlers (PHs) on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques to ensure efficient and safe movement of packages through the operation. Responsible for the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and placing in a safe and efficient manner. Package Handlers may be assigned to or rotate through various areas and positions such as Loader, Unloader, Palletizer, Scan Weigh and Key (SWAK), Quality Assurance (QA), Facer, Switcher, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Training new PHs in unloading, loading, palletizing, carrying, smalls handling, SWAK, and non‑conveyable package handling techniques.
• Providing training to other PHs as needed based on management direction.
• Providing feedback on proper package handling techniques.
• Reinforcing dock safety standards among peer PHs.
