Job Description

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking an Oracle DBA – Conversion/Migration Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of the database conversion POC, including planning, analysis, execution, and validation
  • Run Oracle conversion tools in analysis mode and interpret findings related to data and schema issues
  • Identify and remediate data inconsistencies and encoding conflicts that may prevent successful conversion
  • Execute the conversion in a non-production environment and validate database stability and integrity
  • Work closely with application teams to assess impacts to PL/SQL logic and dependent systems
  • Develop documentation, including findings, risks, and recommendations for next steps
