OR Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To use nursing process in providing patient care. To participate as a member of the Health Care Team and the Nursing Team. As an individual practitioner, to maintain competence and professionalism relevant to current practice. To maintain nursing records. To perform as a member of the surgical team, including perioperative role and in all services. To perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited community college;
* Successful completion of the Operating Room course from an approved program within three years with combined experience;
* Registered Practical Nurse with current Ontario Certificate of Competence;
* Demonstrated commitment to maintain Reflective Practice Standards as outlined by the CNO;
* Current B.C.L.S. Heart and Stroke Foundation Standards;
