Optometrist

A vacancy has arisen has arisen for an optometrist to join the hospital optometry team at Wolverhampton Eye Infirmary. The team consists of 11 Optometrists, an ECLO & 2 optometry assistants.

Duties cover a varied case-load including core optometry clinics including adult/ paediatric refraction, low vision, plus undertaking some extended role out-patient clinics in specialties such as glaucoma screening.

The working environment is busy, with a challenging caseload, with a need to combine high standards of clinical practice & good time management for clinical & non-clinical activities.

The successful applicant for a band 6 post will demonstrate an aptitude for working in a demanding hospital setting, managing a high volume of throughput in core optometry clinics such as refraction & low vision.
