Optics Photonics Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of testing procedures and strategies for the new products.

• Perform waveguide and optical coupling tests of passive components, and electro-optical tests to characterize active optoelectronic devices and photonic integrated circuits.

• Work closely with other teams/departments on both in-house, customer and supplier.

• Identifies opportunities in the test group to improve test capabilities and procedures to increase efficiency.

• Generate test reports with measurement results and detailed analyses in a timely manner.

• Contribute actively to the build-up of test and characterization capabilities of the Photonics Test Lab, including maintenance of test set-ups and jigs and calibration of the measurement instrumentation, as well as software control and automation of the set-ups.
