Responsibilities

  • Master sterile techniques to meticulously prepare the operating room, ensuring a contaminant‑free environment for delicate eye surgeries.
  • Expertly manage and maintain specialized ophthalmic surgical instruments, including lasers and microscopes, for optimal performance during procedures.
  • Provide direct patient care during intraocular surgeries, anticipating surgeon needs and responding swiftly to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency.
  • Administer medications and intravenous fluids precisely as prescribed, monitoring patient vital signs with vigilance throughout the surgical process.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience specifically within an Operating Room (OR) setting, with a strong preference for ophthalmology.
