UPMC Mercy Vision Institute is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician Intermediate to join our team at 1622 Locust Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. This position works Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and supports our Glaucoma, Motility, and Oculoplastics services. Travel to other locations is extremely limited (less than 5%), though flexibility to assist other departments within the building as needed is required. In this role, you will perform comprehensive patient work-ups, including obtaining patient histories, lensometry, autorefraction, visual acuity testing, color vision and stereo testing, visual field testing, pupil assessment, motility evaluation, tonometry, dilation, patient education and communication, and other ancillary diagnostic testing.
