Job Description

To deliver Ophthalmic Imaging diagnostic retinal scans, under the direction of Head of the Imaging service.

For some Imaging techniques this may be working independently, however usually as part of a team with practice appropriate for statutory regulation.

Performs a number of follow‑up Ophthalmic Imaging tests to aid the clinical diagnosis, for example, performs high resolution 3 dimensional imaging of the retina and undertakes accurate measurements for nerve fibre analysis.

Maintains clinical records in relation to activities carried out and may input data to the appropriate specialised software.

May be required to supervise, organise and allocate work and/or train less experienced staff in own area.
