Position Overview

The incumbent is responsible for organization of the clinic including ensuring the smooth flow of patient and clerical activity; liaising with referring physicians, hospital departments, nurses and patients in the clinic; coordinating pre-op testing and surgeries; assisting with minor surgical procedures and patient education pre and post-operatively; administering medications (under direct physician supervision); pre-screening triage patients and performing tests; maintaining and calibrating equipment; and ordering pharmaceutical stock and office supplies.


Experience

  • A minimum of six months related experience in a clinical environment is required.
  • Previous experience working with children in ophthalmology preferred. 
  • Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
