Operations Manager: Plant
Purpose of the job: To manage the plant and the production team according to safety standards to attain production targets.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Grade 12/STD 10/NQF Level 4 is essential
- Chemical Engineering/Metallurgy Degree or NQF 7 Equivalent
- Minimum 5 years Metallurgical/Platinum/Plant experience is essential
- 3-5 years managerial position in a processing plant environment is desirable
Competencies
- Processes: Crushing, Milling, Floatation & Thickener Operations
- Engineering knowledge
- Metallurgical data interpretation
- Extractive and pyro knowledge
- Safety principles and knowledge of the MHSA
- Environmental knowledge and associated legislation
- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects)
- Financial/Commercial skills
