Job Description
Job Title: Operations Assistant (Level 2) Location: G3 Thunder BayThe Operations Assistant (OA2) is responsible for performing duties related to handling grain throughout the Elevators/Terminal, which includes primary operation of grain cleaning systems, maintaining clean and efficient physical facilities, receiving, and handling grain shipments, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Operates grain cleaning equipment to ensure shipping specs are achieved and shipping accuracy is best in industry
Highly engaged in forward planning in conjunction with Operations Manager and Senior Operations Assistants in regard to binning, receiving, shipping
Receives grain by truck and/or rail, including weighing and documentation
Samples grain by operating grain cleaning equipment to assess quality
Bins and transfers grain with minimal supervision
Ships grain, including handling rail cars and locomotives
