OpenClaw Developer Needed – Gateway Pairing Fix

We need a senior backend engineer to fix a critical OpenClaw issue.
When a user mentions the bot @bot in a group, the message never forwards to DM for approval.
Logs show:

• pairing pending

• drop guild message

• blocked allowlist
The message is dropped inside the gateway channel handler due to dmPolicy pairing and is silently blocked.
MongoDB pool exhaustion may also be affecting pairing state.
Your Job

• Reproduce issue using openclaw logs –follow

• Patch pairing gate (bypass for mentions OR auto-approve via API)

• Fix MongoDB pooling and reconnect settings

• Test full mention to DM approval flow

• Document configuration changes
Must Have

• Strong and TypeScript

• OpenClaw source familiarity

• Discord, Slack, or Telegram bot experience

• MongoDB driver and connection pooling knowledge
