Job Description
- Review outpatient medical records and assign appropriate ICD -10 CM, CPT and HCPS Level II codes.
- Ensure compliance with official coding guidelines and payer requirements.
- Abstract and input coded data into electronic health record (EHR) and billing systems.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards as defined by the department.
- Stay current with updates to coding regulations and reimbursement changes.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
