Support the oncology team as a full-time Patient Care Support at Boreal Veterinary Centre. Focus on delivering compassionate care and comfort to patients undergoing treatments.
In this essential role, you will work closely with the oncology team, assisting with procedures and providing comfort care for chemotherapy patients. You'll communicate effectively with pet owners about their animals’ needs and well-being while ensuring cleanliness and organization in treatment areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Comfortable restraining animals for medical procedures
• Clean and prepare treatment and exam areas
• Document patient intake and feedback thoroughly
• Oversee safety and cleanliness of chemotherapy spaces
• Train and assist kennel staff as needed
Requirements:
• High school diploma; veterinary training is advantageous
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long hours
