• Install, assemble, and connect HVAC and refrigeration units, ductwork, piping and controls according to specifications and codes
• Inspect, test, diagnose and repair components such as compressors, motors, fans, valves, thermostats and control systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and seasonal tune-ups to optimize system performance and energy efficiency
• Recover, reclaim and handle refrigerants in compliance with regulatory and environmental procedures
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and equipment manuals to plan and execute work
